Quartz Domeless / Banger – Proper Nail Care

Place coil on quartz nail, then power on the unit allowing the coil to heat on the nail. It is always recommended that you remove the coil from the quartz nail immediately after turning off your eNail. When the heats it expands upon cooling the coil can contract and squeeze the quartz domeless/banger potentially breaking it.  Removing the coil from your quartz nail will significantly eliminate the chance of the nail breaking. if it is a tight fit, make sure not to leave the coil on, all coils shrink when cooling causing extreme pressure.  If you have any trouble please call us for support, we can instruct you with different methods to make a perfect fit.

Cleaning:

• Only clean units while powered down, unplugged, and properly cooled down to safe levels.
• while still warm, swipe with dry Q-Tip then swipe with alcohol dipped Q-Tip.
• to clean inside clean nail with a soak in warm isopropyl alcohol or denatured alcohol then rinse and wipe dry
• Regular cleaning of nail will increase performance and airflow.
• Never clean the nail by raising temperature this will kill your coil

    You get awesome flavor out of this, and if you have been using a nail up to this point, once you try a banger you wont go back. However I do not recommend the torch cleaning process they promote here. Instead you want to wipe it with a wooden cotton tipped applicator right after taking your rips when the vapor stops and before leftovers harden. If you wait too long or forget and get some baked on, use some “Dark Crystal glass clear” cleaner put it in your banger turn on your e-nail and heat to 250F then turn it off then scrape with a dental tool or wood end of cotton tipped applicator to remove baked on buildup. This will keep it looking like new and wont ruin it like torch cleaning did to mine.

Our Pure 99.999% quartz is as good as it gets… now just find your perfect temp for you that fits your dabs the way you like.. try low try high, we love low. if you do pure diamonds turn it up less than sauce, alawys try low then raise it up 5 degrees at a time til you get a flavor u dont like than back it back down a bit 😉

    Quartz Banger Brings 710 to Life

    710 Life is a Los Angeles area company that manufactures a wide variety of standard and portable cannabis vaping and dabbing devices. The company’s proprietary e-nail coil is designed to work seamlessly with a specially made quartz banger, an upgrade sold separately from their e-nail packages. I discovered 710 Life last year in a High Times article reviewing 2018’s 10 best e-nails and have used their micro mini e-nail reliably for the past 5 months dabbing live resins, jelly waxes, shatters, crumbles, and other extracts. After putting my e-nail through daily tests of performance and durability, powering it up and down, disconnecting and reconnecting the coil and cord, disassembling, cleaning and reassembling the nail components and dabbing anew without incident, it is clear why the award-winning device made it on the High Times list.

    The micro mini e-nail comes with a titanium nail and quartz and ceramic inserts (1 of each) to enable dabbing right out of the box. For the past 5 months I’d gotten great tasting vapor off of the quartz and ceramic inserts but both eventually became mired in gunk and irretrievably embedded in the titanium. They broke when extracted. No point in throwing good money after bad, so after cracking a 2nd quartz insert I decided to purchase 710 Life’s branded quartz banger, made especially for use with its proprietary coil. The banger sells for about $40 (there are coupon codes on the website) and features a deep bucket and lamppost neck displaying the company’s colorful honey bee/honeycomb logo.

    The specially designed quartz piece fits 710 Life’s coil perfectly and includes a small stem protruding from the banger neck to help stabilize the coil, which would otherwise fall off. The coil rod rests on the little banger stem and the attached cable feeds back towards the dabber, trailing down and around the base of the rig and back out to the e-nail, I copied a few dabbers who’d bent their coil rods to make them fit more naturally over the little quartz stem. Both the bent rod and the strategically positioned cable improve overall stability and keep the coil well-seated.

    Replacing the titanium nail and inserts with a quartz banger sparked a reassessment of my e-nail temperature setting. I’d taken my first month of quartz insert dabs at 720 degrees, then lowered the temp to 710 degrees where it remained. But a quartz banger heats up more quickly than a titanium nail and spreads the heat much more evenly around the sides and base of the bucket, so I reduced the dab temp to 700 degrees which still felt too hot. 710 Life’s website claims 650 degrees is the optimal dabbing e-nail temperature so I took a few 650-degree dabs with the quartz banger and I have to agree. I’ve experienced more flavor, less oily residue, and no loss in potency at the lower temperature.

    Dab nails will accumulate oily, resinous gunk at any temperature, with any wax, and will require regular, if not daily, cleanings to maintain performance. 710 Life’s website features detailed instructions for different methods to clean quartz. I’ve developed a regimen that works for me. After each dab, while the bucket is still hot, I spot swab any residue taking care not to spread the oil around the quartz. At the end of a dab session I’ll dip a q-tip in isopropyl alcohol and spot swab with that. This spot swabbing helps slow gunk accumulation, but doesn’t effectively clean the quartz, which requires more extensive measures.

    My cleaning method is a fairly easy and efficient way to remove at least 90% of the resinous gunk: Fill a small bowl or cup with very hot water, immerse the quartz in the water for about a minute to loosen the grime, then scrape the gunk off with a dab tool. The process must be repeated several times to be effective. I then use q-tips and tissues dipped in rubbing alcohol to swab away the carbon remnants. 710 Life suggests buying a few dentist quality metal picks, but the sharp end of a dab tool works. The spoon end is helpful, too, while flexible q-tips work to clean out the banger neck. The quartz can be maintained at near new quality with proper maintenance, but should it need special care 710 Life also offers customers instructions for deep cleaning.

    The 710 Life micro mini e-nail is a good investment. The unit has functioned consistently well over time and is priced reasonably in comparison to similar devices. The e-nail has its quirks, but with experience and the reassurance that comes with the company’s excellent customer service, there is little to worry about. When my original unit malfunctioned beyond my ability to correct it, 710 Life sent me a replacement with no hassle. They even have a program allowing the user to put down a deposit so that 710 Life can send a replacement overnight, then they credit back the deposit upon their receipt of the defective unit. I took advantage of this program and the company delivered exactly as promised. My replacement unit works wonderfully and has always reset when necessary.

    710 Life manufactures and sells a variety of neat dabbing and vaping gadgetry in addition to its standard e-nails, like their Dip and Dab, Aqua Dabber, Dry Rosin Press, Pure KnockOut dry herb vape device and more. But at only $40 (less with coupons), their quartz banger is an especially good buy. Why? It transforms e-nail insert/titanium nail dabbing into a completely different kind of cannabis vaping experience by recapturing the fun and intensity of butane-generated torch dabbing without the volatility. In its 2018 review of the company’s award-winning e-nail, High Times noted that what truly sets apart 710 Life’s e-nail from other standard e-nails is the way it functions when used with the specially designed quartz banger. Since replacing my titanium nail with 710 Life’s 20mm 710 Life quartz banger, I couldn’t agree more!!
